From Jenny (because we couldn’t have told this sweet story any better):

Bob and I met during the heat wave of the summer of 2012 and our first weekend together consisted of a steak and fresh veggie dinners, lots of talking while listening to music, omelets from his chicken’s eggs, a kayak ride on the river, he washed my car, picked me some flowers, we survived a crazy summer storm together, he made me feel special and beautiful, and I was done. He wasn’t perfect. He clearly had a lot going on his life, but he was beautiful inside and out. I knew he liked me for me and, for the first time in a long time, I felt like someone got me and appreciated me despite my flaws. I think I offered him the same.

We had a crazy two-year run filled with highs and lows since we had first started chatting. I caught the bouquet at a friend’s wedding in the fall of 2013 and he proposed on a snowy day at the end of January 2014 in our old dodge truck at the top of a hill in a field we like to go to for sunsets.

Just like how we found each other, nothing about our relationship has ever been traditional. We both recognized something in each other, have fought for it, and have grown together. We have a solid foundation built on friendship, understanding, compassion, trust, and love that we are excited to build on as we move forward in this crazy life together.

Jenny, Bob, and their closest of friends and family gathered on a beautiful Wednesday in June to celebrate their marriage. June 29th, to be exact. The two of them had met exactly four years prior, so they picked this special date to make it official!

Intimate weddings are easily some of our favorite celebrations to document. Jenny and Bob picked Shenandoah Woods for its incredible view of Shenandoah Valley and laid-back feel. It was them, it was perfect, and we were absolutely honored to be a part of it.
